Funeral services for Mr. James David Wheeler, 73 will be 11:00 am Friday, July 17, 2015 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega with Rev. Bobby Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Cemetery. Mr. Wheeler passed away Tuesday, July 14 at his residence.
Mr. Wheeler was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He was retired from Image Yarn Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Betty Wheeler, sons, Jamie Wheeler (Tina), Robert Harvell (Angela), daughters, Lisa Arnold (Wayne), Pam Cagle (John), Wendy Gardner (Mike), Sherry Langley (Barry), Linda Gamble (Kevin), Vanessa Robb (Michael), brother, Ralph Wheeler, sister, Linda Hearn (William), 19 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Sarah Wheeler, brothers, Norman Wheeler, Donald Wheeler, John Wheeler, sister, Mary Lou Moreland, and grandson, Adam Arnold.
Pallbearers will be Colby Wheeler, Luke Wheeler, Robert Harvell, Tyler Harvell, Mike Gardner, and Donovan Green. Honorary pallbearers will be the Romeo Club from McDonalds (Retired Old Men Eating Out).
Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday july 16 2015
