Mr. James S. "Jimmy" Roberts, Sr., 79, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on June 25, 2020 in Birmingham.
Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the US Air Force, a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He attended Eden Westside Baptist Church. He served St. Clair County as a Commissioner for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Virginia Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Cathleen Roberts; sons, Robbie Roberts (B.J.) and Michael Roberts (Glenda); grandchildren, Emily Pike, Jeffrey Roberts, Trey Roberts, Justin Roberts and Jason Roberts; stepchildren, Cathy Talley (Bill) and Glenn Chavers (Vickey).
A graveside service will be held at 2:15 pm on Tuesday June 30, 2020 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Bro. Bill Ayres officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 - 2:00 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City.
Pallbearers will be Trey Roberts, Jeffrey Roberts, Baron Roberts, Alston Pike, Howard "Howie" Conley, and Justin Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be the St. Clair County Commissioners and Bill Talley.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pell City Humane Society.
