Obituary of Mark Anthony Thompson

Hahnville, LA. – Mark Anthony Thompson, 36, passed away April 7, 2021. A memorial service will be 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Dale Cash officiating. Mark’s family will have a visitation beginning at 4:30 p.m., prior to the memorial service. Mark was a native of Munford, AL. He was a 2002 graduate of Munford High School and a 2007 graduate of Gadsden State Community College where he received his degree in Manufacturing Engineering. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid “gamer”. Mark was a loving father, son, and brother. Survivors include his daughter, Callie Thompson; his son, Benjamin Thompson; his parent’s, Terry and Shaye Thompson; his brother, Samuel (Odylia) Thompson; his sister, Kristi Thompson; his grandfather, Wayne Strickland; and a host of aunts and uncles. Preceding him in death were his grandmother, Gail Strickland; grandmother, Earlene Thompson; and grandfather, Charles Thompson.
