Munford – Dorothy “Dot” Mae Mann Maxwell, passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 78. She was a member of the Munford church of Christ. She graduated from Munford High School in 1959, she worked as a substitute teacher, and was retired from Magic Chef, she also worked for H and R Block as a tax preparer. She was a member of Calhoun County Historical Society; she had a thirst for knowledge and a love for reading. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Johnny Earl Maxwell; one son, William Allen Maxwell; parents, J. D. “Sam” Mann, and Nona Mae Lackey Mann; her husband’s parents, W. A. and Thelma Maxwell; grandparents, Ida Hobbs Lackey and Thaukey Lackey and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Mann; four brothers, Billy Ray Mann, Herman Mann (Nellie Jo Mann), Bobby Mann (Diana Mann), and Terry Mann (Jean Ann Mann). She is survived by three children, three brothers, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren: one brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, and nephews; sons, Johnny Keith Maxwell and his daughter, Raegan Lorene Maxwell, Joel Edward Maxwell (Karen Smith Maxwell) and their children, Jennifer Maxwell Reynolds (Jared) and their children, Emma Kate Reynolds, and twins, Thomas Jameson Reynolds and Anberly Teigan Reynolds, their grandson, Brandon Joel Maxwell, William Allen Maxwell’s daughter, Kayla Genell Maxwell (Jordan Smith) and their children, Joseph Maxwell Camp, Analeah Genell Camp and Alissa Jordan Smith; her daughter, Camelia Ann Maxwell Smith (Steve Smith), their daughter’s, Amanda Jill Smith, her children, Joshua Stephen Rager and Gracee Lorene Rager, Jessica Danielle Smith (Ronald White, Jr.) and their twins, Austin William White and Evan Lionel White, and Katherine “Katie” Smith (Nicholas Alexander), and their son, Beau Allen Graham Smith; her brother’s, Jimmy D. Mann (Sylvia), Laverell “Buddy” Mann (Marife’), Gregory J. Mann (Lana); and brother-in-law, David L. Hogan. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Trent Hogan, Ricky Mann, Kyle Mann, Sam Mann, Jeff Mann, Darryl Mann, Randy Mann, Paul Ray Mann, Sean Mann, Jody Mann, Gregory Mann, Kaylem Mann and Lorien Mann. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Rusty Stephens officiating. The family will receive extended family and friends for two hours prior to the service at Usrey. Interment will follow the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega.
