Obituary of Jerry "No Toe" Wayne Poe

Please share a memory of Jerry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mr. Jerry “No Toe” Wayne Poe, 79, of Ragland, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Jerry served honorably in the United States Navy for three years and then was a dedicated employee for forty-two years at National Cement. He was a lifelong member of Hardin’s Chapel Church in Ragland. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and a passionate fan of University of Alabama football. He also loved his faithful canine companion, Boomer. However, of all of the many interests and passions of his life, none of these were matched by the amount of love and dedication that he held for his wife of fifty-six years, Joyce, and his nine grandchildren and five precious great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Edna Poe. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Poe; children, Jeremy Poe (Tina), Brandon Poe (Kerry), Brooki Kay (Jon), and Amanda Greene (Jeremy); grandchildren, Brett Poe, Lorelai Poe, Seth Poe (Kayla), Kloey Poe, Zoey Poe, Nick Kay (Taylor), Savannah Kay, Kennedy Kay, and Austin Greene; great-grandchildren, Remington Poe, Lexi Kay, Rylee Kay, Brody Kay, and Haislee Poe; sister, June Ford; and a host of nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. The funeral service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, with Bro. Roger Kendrick officiating, followed by interment at Ragland Methodist Cemetery. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
