Obituary of Louise Milam Wells

Louise Milam Wells, 83, of Talladega, AL passed away at her home on Monday, April 08, 2024. Her family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at the funeral home on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. with Sam Walker and Allan Holley officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Wells was a native of Talladega. She was a member of Cragdale Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She spent her life as a housewife and stay at home mother who loved taking care of her family and always had a hot meal on the table. She genuinely enjoyed living her life and went with the flow. Mrs. Wells was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marian and Florence B. Milam, brother, James Milam, and twin sister, Elouise Thornton. Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband of 67 years, Larry D. Wells; daughter, Pam Wells; son, Larry “Pete” Wells; grandson, Matthew Blake Wells (Tupoche); great-granchild, Valerie Wells; brother, Len Ray Milam (Marie); sister-in-law, Peggy Milam, and a host of nieces and nephews. Kevin Milam, Jay Milam, David Allred, Matthew Allred, and Don Palmore will serve as pallbearers. Larry Barton, Mary Barton, Fred Roberts, G.W.
