Glenda Dean Coley, of Munford, AL, passed away in Columbus, GA on April 9, 2024 at the age of 80. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 12, 2024 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Dale Cash and Tony Spencer officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Glenda worked most of her life in Munford, AL where she retired as a social worker for the State of Alabama. She was a long-time member of Munford Baptist Church and was very active as a fund-raiser for The American Cancer Society. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Arizona Smith, husband, Frank Dean, III, husband, Arthur G. Coley, and her son, Frank Bobby Dean, IV. She is survived by her daughter, Scarlett “Penny” Adams (Dereek), son, Robert “Glen” Dean (Sanna), honorary brother, Earnie “Buddy” Blackman (Pat), grandchildren, Tracy Champion, Frank “Buddy” Dean, IV, Melissa Hughes, Joshua Hughes, J.T. Dean, Cameron Adams, Shelby Adams, Frank Dean, and 12 great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Strickland, Ronnie Strickland, Donnie Strickland and Tony Spencer. Her grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing the service.
