Obituary of Henry "Buddy" Rexford Toler

Mr. Henry “Buddy” Rexford Toler, 74, of Northport, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Rex was a heavy haul truck driver who also served with honor in law enforcement as both a state trooper and deputy sheriff. He also worked in funeral service and as a mechanic. He found solace in fishing, camping, and cherished moments with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Rexford and Lois Toler; and sister, Gayle Fleming. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Toler; children, Amy Moore (Jeff) and Rexanne Patterson (Sonny); grandchildren, Crystal Woods (Craig), Christopher Wilkins (Mallory), Jeremy Moore (Stephanie), Hannah Patterson, and Kaylin Patterson; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Boswell (Harley); numerous nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024. The funeral service for Mr. Toler will be held at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, with Bro. D.J. Wyatt and Bro. Vint Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Unity Baptist Cemetery in Pell City. Pallbearers will be Christopher Wilkins, Craig Woods, John A. Spradlin, Bill Herren, Alan Gray, Dakota Jones. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Warrior Tractor and Equipment, West Alabama Internal Medicine, Alabama Heart and Vascular Medicine, and Bill Shoemaker and family.
