Robert D. Bice Sr., 90, of Talladega passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024. A graveside ceremony will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Gary Wyatt officiating. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. prior to the service.
Mr. Bice was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He was a member of North Street Wesleyan Methodist Church where he served as assistant pastor and song director. He retired as a manager from Suburban Gas in Coldwater. He enjoyed working and eating breakfast at Tebo’s Restaurant.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn Evans, Shannon McGlothlin Lazenby (Brian), Beth Elsberry Hall (Ronnie), Danny Bice (Dixie), and Mike McGlothlin (Jessica); 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Casey Bice, Cayden Bice, Woody East, Chris Tinney, Hargus Jackson, and Mike Laros will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Bice’s family asks that donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
